Honourable Sri Justice Elipe Dharma Rao was born on 15th July 1951 in an agricultural family of Krapa village situated in Ainavalli Mandal, East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh to his parents, late Sri E.Suranna and late Smt.E.Neelama. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Arts in 1973 from S.K.B.R. College, Amalapuram. He did his Master’s Degree in Sociology in 1973-75 from Andhra University, Waltair. Thereafter, he took his Bachelor’s Degree in Law in 1978 from the same University. He enrolled himself as an Advocate on 2.11.1978 at the A.P. State Bar Council, Hyderabad and joined the Chambers of Mr.M.R.K. Choudhary and continued for about 4 years. Thereafter, in 1982 he was selected as a Trainee under the Scheme of Administration of Justice, sponsored by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh and joined the office of Advocate General. In 1983, he was appointed as the Assistant Government Pleader and associated with four Advocates General upto 1989 viz. Sri K.Subrahmanya Reddy, sri E.Manohar, Sri V.Venataramaiah and Sri R.Venugopal Reddy. In 1990 he was appointed as the Government Pleader and dealt with the subjects of Irrigation, Housing and Municipal Administration for a period of one year. Besides that, he was also the Standing Counsel for Andhra University from 1989 to 1993 and Standing Counsel for the Food Corporation of India and also the Panel Advocate for the United India Insurance Company Limited and the New India Assurance Company Limited. He was also the Standing Counsel for the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad, during the period from 1992 to 1995. Once again, in 1995, he was appointed as the Government Pleader and dealt with the subjects of Home and Cinematography, Legislative Affairs, Prohibition and Excise, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, General Administration, Municipal Administration and Urban Development. He has written three articles and they were published in reputed Journals, titled as (a) Claims of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to Posts and Services; (b) Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes admission into Educational Institutions (AIR 1991 Journal Section 185); and (c) Prohibition of discrimination on the ground of sex. In recognition of his hard work, sincerity and taking into account his rich and vast experience as an Advocate and Government Pleader, he was appointed as Additional Judge of Andhra Pradesh, High Court on 17.5.1999 and as Judge of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh w.e.f 20.4.2000 and subsequently transferred as the Judge of the Madras High Court w.e.f. 6.1.2006 F.N.

Born on 10.6.1951. Enrolled as a Member of the Bar on 27.8.1975. Worked as a Legal Advisor to the University of Madras from 1984-1987 and Corporation of Chennai from 1992 to June 1996. Appointed as Special Government Pleader for Education during 1994 - 96 and Special Government Pleader- Writs from October 1997 and appointed as Government Pleader on 8.12.1998. Appointed as Judge, Madras High Court on 2.3.2000 and as Permanent Judge on 13.06.2001.

Worked as Part time Professor in Madras Law College for 7 years. Established independent practice and was a Standing Counsel for various Public Sector Undertakings. Before elevation, held the post of Senior Central Standing Counsel. Appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 10.12.2005 and as Permanent Judge on 20.04.2007.

Born on 26.10.1950. Enrolled in the year 1975. Founder & Member of Select - 75, a Trust formed by Law Graduates who had passed out during 1975. Gold Medalist in B.L. and M.L., having stood first in the Madras University in B.G.L., B.L. and M.L. Examinations. Was Standing Counsel for Madras University , Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Food Corporation of India. Appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 10.12.2005 and as Permanent Judge on 20.04.2007.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice K.N. Basha, was born on 14th May 1951 and his father was also in the judiciary, who retired as a District Judge. He joined the office of N.T. Vanamamalai and later the office of Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. Balasubramanian, as he then was. After the elevation of Justice R. Balasubramanian, he set up independent practice. He held the post of Legal Adviser for Wakf Board. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 10.12.2005

Hon’ble Thiru Justice P.P.S Janarthanaraja was born on 21.1.1951. He Joined the office of Mr. Subbaraya Iyer, Mr. Padmanabhan and then Senior Counsel Mr. Ramamani, tax specialists. Later he became the partner of the law firm, which is an established firm and in active practice in the corporate law and taxation for the past 40 years. He is a keen basket ball Player. He has captained both the Loyola College and Madras Law College basket ball Teams. He was appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 10.12.2005 and as Permanent Judge on 20.04.2007.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice N. Paul Vasantha Kumar was born on 15.03.1955. He passed M.A., M.L. He enrolled in the year 1980. He was junior to Late Mr. T. Martin. He was given a Honorary post of member in Ecclesiastical Synod Courts, C.S.I. He is a specialist in service law, labour law and education matters. He held the post of Senior Standing Counsel for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission and also Standing Counsel for Central Government. He was appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 10.12.2005 and as Permanent Judge on 20.04.2007.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice M. Jaichandren, is the grand son of Hon’ble Mr. Justice K.Ramasamy Gounder. He obtained a degree in law viz. L.L.M. from University of Delhi with Gold Medal. He loved teaching, and was a popular teacher. He has regularly participated in various seminars and represented Madras Bar Association at the All India Lawyers Conference held at Delhi in October 2000 on New Dimension of Law. He was an Honorary Professor of Law at Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 10.12.2005

Hon’ble Thiru Justice S. Rajeswaran, was born on 1.11.1952 at Tanjore. His father was Late Thiru U. Subramaniam, I.A.S., who was a retired Commissioner of H.R & C.E. His uncle U. Dhakshanamoorthy was a lawyer and the Former Chairman of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu. He joined the office of Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. Ramalingam. He served as the counsel for Electricity Board 1993 to 1996 and he was re-appointed on 20.3.2002 as their counsel which establishes his identity. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 10.12.2005

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice V. Dhanapalan, was born on Born on 01.06.1953. He enrolled as an Advocate in 1983. He was a Lecturer at Madras Law College. Hon'ble Thiru. Justice R. Sudhakar, was born on 14.02.1959. He was the son of Late Justice S.T.Ramalingam, who was a Judge of the Madras High Court from 1985 to 1991. Justice R.Sudhakar’s maternal grandfather, late S.P.Sri Ram, was a District Judge, and retired as Chairman of the Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal. He graduated from Loyola College, Chennai in Science and passed his Degree in Law from Madras Law college in 1982. He enrolled himself as Advocate in 1983 and started legal practice as an associate of the Legal Luminary and Senior Advocate Mr. Habibullah Badsha, former Advocate General and Public Prosecutor following their Mentor Shri Govind Swaminadhan - Crown Prosecutor and former Advocate General, Tamil Nadu. He practiced in all branches of law and specialized in the field of Customs, Central Excise and Sales Tax. He actively practiced in the High Court of Judicature at Madras and before the High Courts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and also before the Supreme Court. Before elevation as a Judge of the Chartered High Court of Madras, Justice R.Sudhakar was also the Standing Counsel for (i) Dr.MGR Medical University, (ii) Pondicherry University; (iii) Madras University and (iv) M/s.Apollo Hospital-Group and Multi National Companies. He was elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Madras on 10th December, 2005 and as a Permanent Judge on 20.04.2007.

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice S. Tamilvanan, was born on 06.02.1954. He enrolled in 1981. He did M.L., International Law and Comparative Constitutional Law. He joined the service in the year 1986. He has won the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu Fellowship in the year 1985. He served as Special Judge of TADA and NDPS Courts. He has served as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Erode and Director, Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy, Chennai. He held the post of Administrator General and Official Trustee. He was appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 10.12.2005 and as Permanent Judge on 07.12.2007.

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice Vinod Kumar Sharma was born on May 25, 1951. He originally belongs to village Jalalabad, District Amritsar and his maternal parents hail from village Bilga, District Jalandhar. He did his schooling from Bangalore and thereafter his Graduation (B.Sc) from Institute of Science Nagpur and LL.B. from University College of Law, Nagpur. Enrolled as an Advocate on October 29, 1974. Practised for 31 years in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He was Legal Advisor to Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Ltd., since 1979 till elevation; Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation for 14 years; Electronic System Punjab Limited from 1999; Punjab State Co-operative Sugar Mills Limited from 1984 and Morinda Co-operative Sugar Mills Limited from 1998 till his elevation . He was also on the panel of Local Government Punjab Category 'A', all Co-operative Sugar Mills in the State of Punjab, Punjab State Leather Development Corporation Limited; Punjab State Handloom and Textile Development Corporation and Punjab State Hosiery Knitwear Development Corporation. He was specialized in the fields of Civil, Service, Labour and Arbitration. He had also been handling Criminal, Company, Arbitration, Rent and Matrimonial matters. Elevated to the Bench on March 22, 2006 and adorned the Bench of the Punjab and Haryana High Court till 26.10.2010, when he was transferred to this Court and assumed office on 27.10.2010.

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice K. Venkataraman, was born on 09.05.1951. He enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1973. He joined the office of late Mr.T.S. Subramaniam and later joined the office of late Mr. Justice Nainar Sundaram. He was appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 31.7.2006.

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice V. Ramasubramanian, was Born on 30.06.1958. He enrolled as a member of the Bar on 10.02.1983 and practiced under Mr.K.Sarvabhauman and Mr.T.R.Mani, Senior Advocates. Appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 31.7.2006.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice K. Chandru was born on 9.3.1951 at Srirangam. He enrolled as an Advocate on 28.7.1976 and joined M/s Row and Reddy and worked under Mr. N.G.R. Prasad for seven years and subsequently set up independent practice from 1983. He became a Senior Advocate on 12.11.1997. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 31.07.2006

Hon’ble Thiru Justice S. Manikumar was born on 24.4.1961. His Father is Justice K. Swamidurai a retired Judge of this High Court. He completed B.Sc. Degree from Vivekananda College and B.L. Degree from Dr. Ambedkar Law College, Chennai. He enrolled as an Advocate on 23.11.1983. He has a long innings of more than 16 years in the judiciary. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 31.07.2006.

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice A. Selvam, was born on 5.4.1956. He enrolled as an Advocate in August 1981. He joined as Civil Judge (Jr. Division) on 16.05.1986 and worked in various Civil Courts. He was appointed as District Judge on 2.6.1997. Before elevation, he held the post of Registrar (Vigilance), High Court, Madras. He was appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 31.7.2006.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice P.R. Shiva Kumar was born on 12.05.1954. He studied in American College, Madurai and obtained B.A., Degree in English Literature. He studied B.L. Course at Government Law College, Pondicherry and obtained M.L. degree in Constitutional Law and International Law from Madras University. He enrolled as an Advocate on 22.10.1980 and practiced in the High Court of Madras. He was appointed as a Subordinate Judge in the year 1989 and served as Sub Judge at Erode, Gobichettipalayam and Mayiladuthurai. He was promoted as a District Judge with effect from 2.6.1997 and served as District Judge at Cuddalore, Additional District Judge cum Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sivagangai. He served as the Principal District Judge at Krishnagiri and as Chief Judge of Small Causes Court, Chennai. He was elevated as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 18.09.2006

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice G. Rajasuria, was born on 23.8.1951. He obtained Degree in B.A. English Literature and obtained Degree in Master of Law in Criminal Law and Criminology from Madras University securing First Class. He has secured Gold Medal in Post Graduate Diploma in French Law. He enrolled as an Advocate on 20.8.1975. He was a part time Lecturer in Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Pondicherry. He was appointed as District Munsif in the Union Territory of Pondicherry on 9.1.1980. He worked on deputation as Deputy Director of Prosecution for a period of two years in Law Department, Government of Pondicherry. He served as Judge of the Family Court at Pondicherry and at Chennai and also as the Principal District Judge, Cuddalore. He was appointed as Additional Judge of High Court of Madras on 18.9.2006.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice T. Sudhanthiram, was born on 15.08.1951 at Chengalpattu. He completed schooling in Chengalpattu and thereafter studied in Madras Christian College. Your Lordship completed Law at Madras Law College. He enrolled as an Advocate on 11.02.1976 and joined the office of (Late) Shri. N.T. Vanamamalai, Senior Advocate. He started independent practice in the year 1986. He practiced on the criminal side appearing before various Courts and High Court of Madras. He was Additional Special Public Prosecutor for certain special cases. He was elevated as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 22.03.2007.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice S. Nagamuthru, was born on 31.05.1955 at Madigai Village in Thanjavur Taluk. He studied at Government Secondary School at Vandaiyar Iruppu and completed PUC at Poondi College and was later graduated from Raja Sarfoji Government College at Tanjore and secured First Class and thereafter obtained Law Degree in the year 1980 from Madras Law College. He enrolled as an Advocate on 07.01.1981. He started practice in Thanjavur District Court as Junior to Mr. N. Karuppasamy, a leading Criminal Lawyer and was also attached to the office of the Senior Counsel Thiru. Viswanathan, Pattukottai, a leading Criminal Lawyer. After independent practice Your Lordship got trained by the well known Thiru. G.M. Virudhachalam Reddiar of Thiruchirappali Bar. From 1990 he started practice in Madras High Court. After commencement of Madurai Bench of Madras High Court at Madurai in the year 2004, he shifted practice permanently to Madurai Bench and conducted several sensational cases at Madurai Bench and conducted numerous cases. He has written several articles on important topics which have been published in Law Journals. He was also a Legal Adviser to Indian Medical Association. He was elevated as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 22.03.2007.

Hon'ble Mr. Justice S. Palanivelu, was born on 11.05.1955. He did his schooling in Sankarankovil and graduated from St. John’s College, Tirunelveli. He completed his Law Degree at Madurai Law College and Master of Law from Annamalai University. He enrolled as an Advocate in June 1981. He joined as junior under Mr. Peppin Fernando in Tirunelveli and later under Mr. Sankaranaraya Pillai in Sankarankovil. He started independent practice on civil side in Sankarankovil. He was directly recruited as Sub-Judge on 15.02.1989. After eight years as Sub-Judge, he was promoted as District Judge in the year 1997 and served in several districts. He was a Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Coimbatore between 1997 and 1998, Additional District Judge & Principal District Judge in Ramanathapuram between 1998 and 2001, Principal District Judge at Villupuram from 2001-2003 and at Salem from 2003-2004. He was posted as Registrar (Administration) in Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court at the inception and worked as such during 2004-2005. Subsequently, he was posted as Principal District Judge, Madurai for eight months in 2005. He was Registrar General, High Court, Madras, from 08.12.2005 and in the month March 2007, he was elevated to the Bench of Madras High Court as a Judge.

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice K.K. Sasidharan, was born on 28.10.1957. He studied in the Dr. Ambedkar Govt. Law College, Pondicherry and took B.L. Degree from the Madras University in 1983. He Enrolled as an Advocate before the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu in November 1983. He Joined the Office of Sri. M.P.Govindan Nambiar, Senior Advocate, Tellicherry and Practiced in Civil, Criminal and Labour Branch in the District and Sessions Court, Tellicherry and Sub-Court cum Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court at Mahe from December 1983 onwards. He functioned as Asst. Public Prosecutor cum Asst. Govt. Pleader in the Sub-Court cum Sub-Divisional Magistrate Court at Mahe for 6 years. He was appearing in the High Court of Madras from 1992 onwards. From 1994 he practiced exclusively in the High Court of Madras. He joined the office of Thiru T.Murugesan, Senior Advocate and Senior Govt. Pleader cum Public Prosecutor for the Govt. of Pondicherry at High Court, Madras in 1996 and was representing the Union Territory of Pondicherry and conducted the Govt. Litigation before the High Court of Madras and various tribunals. He was appointed as the Addl. Govt. Pleader cum Addl. Public Prosecutor for the Govt. of Pondicherry at High Court, Madras and functioned as Law officer for the Govt. of Pondicherry until, he was elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Madras.

Hon'ble Thiru. Justice M. Venugopal, was born on 07.05.1957. He did school education in M.C.T.Muthiah Chettiar High School, Purasawalkam, Chennai. He completed his B.A.(English Litterature, at Pachaiyappa’s College, Chennai, and his Bachelor and Masters in Law (Crime and Torts). He enrolled as an advocate on 07.01.1981. He has practiced in City Civil Court, Court of Small Causes, and High Court of Madras, and also at Company Law Board, New Delhi. He was junior to Late Thiru. B. Lakshminarayana Reddy, Chennai. He was directly recruited as Sub-Judge on 15.02.1989. He has seved as Sub-Judge, Ariyalur from 1989 to 1992, Sub-Judge, Tirupattur, North Arcot District from 1992 to 1995, Sub-Judge, Kumbakonam from 1995 to 1997. He entered the cadre of District Judge on 05.06.1997. He was the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Madurai from 1997 to 1998, Addl. District Judge-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sivagangai, from 1998 to 2000, Principal District Judge, Srivilliputtur, Virudhunagar District from 2000 to 2003. He was Registrar (Judicial), High Court, Madras from 2003 to 2006, and Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal, Chennai, from 2006 to 2007. He was elevated as an Additional Judge of the Madras High Court on 12.11.2007.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice V. Periya Karuppiah, was born on 5.10.1950 at Theni District. He completed schooling in Kamatchipuram, Theni District and studied B.Sc., (Zoology) at V.H.N.S.N. College, Virudhunagar and B.L. at Madras Law College, Chennai. He enrolled as an Advocate on 28.8.1974 and joined the Office of Shri (Late) Sri K. Gopalakrishnan, Advocate, Madurai. He was appointed as Sub-Judge at Villupuram on 15.2.1989. He was later promoted as a District Judge on 2.6.1997 and worked in Cuddalore, Chennai and Chingleput and as 1st Registrar (Judicial), in the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court from March, 2004 to June, 2004 and again from 20.7.2004 to 2.5.2005, He was the Director, Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy from 3.5.2005 to 28.12.2005, and then as Principal Judge, City Civil Court Chennai. He was elevated as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 12.11.2007.

Hon’ble Thiru Justice R. Subbiah was born on 21.06.1959. His father, the Hon’ble Mr. Justice S. Rathnavel Pandian is a very famous and popular Judge both in this High Court and Supreme Court. After completing P.U.C. from Vaishnava College, and B.Sc. Degree in New College, he did the Law Degree at Madras Law College. He enrolled as an Advocate on 14.12.1983 in the Tamil Nadu Bar Council. He started his profession with M/s. King & Partridge, now a Century old reputed Legal Firm, with highly respected Senior Partner Late Mr. Dulip Singh, in the year 1984 and continued there for a decade till 1994. Thereafter, he started practicing independently in the High Court of Madras on Original, Appellate and Writ Jurisdiction besides various Tribunals, like Administrative Tribunal, Debts Recovery Tribunal and Arbitral Tribunal, etc. He has held the positions of Additional Central Government Standing Counsel in 1999, Special Government Pleader, High Court of Madras during the years 2006 to 2008, Senior Panel Counsel to the Ministry of Law and Justice, during the years 2006 to 2008, Standing Counsel for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, during the years 2006 to 2008. He has also appeared before several Arbitral Tribunals on behalf of the Government. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 24.03.2008

Hon’ble Thiru Justice M. Sathyanaranan was born on 16.11.1959 at Dindigul. His father Mr. N. Meenakshisundaram, was a District & Sessions Judge, who retired as Additional Registrar, High Court, Madras during April, 1983. After completing his schooling at Dindigul and Vellore, he completed P.U.C. & B. Com. at D.G. Vaishnava College, Chennai. He did the Law Degree at Madras Law College during the year 1980 to 1983 and enrolled as an Advocate on 06.04.1983. He started his profession by joining the Office of Thiru M.N. Padmanabhan, Senior Advocate and practiced at Small Causes Court, City Civil Court and Metropolitan Magistrate Courts apart from conducting cases before the Special Commissioner, Land and Revenue Administration, for 3 years. Subsequently, he joined the services of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC) during 1986 as a Law Officer and continued in that capacity till April, 1990. He resigned the job and re-joined the Bar in the month of April, 1990 and started practicing in the High Court, Madras, other Subordinate Courts and Tribunals. He came to be associated with Thiru K.S. Dinakaran, one of the well known Criminal trial lawyers and had assisted him in a number of Criminal cases. He has conducted innumerable number of Civil, Criminal and Service cases. He has appeared before Small Causes Court, Magistrate Court, Sessions Court, various Tribunals, like Debts Recovery Tribunal and Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Arbitral Tribunals, and Central Administrative Tribunal, etc. He has regularly appeared before the High Court in its Civil, Criminal and Writ jurisdictions. He has also defended several Subordinate Judicial Officers and I.A.S. Officers in Departmental proceedings and in Writ Petitions. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Madras High Court on 23.04.2008.
